Berries are the perfect fruit to devour in the summer whether you’re having it in a bowl mixed with other fruit, or in a smoothie.
These delicious summer fruit have many amazing health benefits. Berries are said to be big on antioxidants, and eating foods that are rich in antioxidants can improve your health, protect your skin and hair, and prevent certain diseases.
Vitamin C is one of the strong antioxidants that are found in berries; this will contribute to radiant skin and healthy hair, and may reduce the risks of arthritis, cataracts, and muscular degeneration.
Berries also contain fiber which aids in weight loss and helps lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
Anyway, I am not going to go into a great detail about the health benefits of berries, as this post is for sharing my very berry recipe.
For this you will need; one banana chopped into pieces, two handfuls of blueberries, two handfuls of raspberries, four strawberries cut into small pieces, and soya milk (you can use almond milk if you like).
Place all the fruit and the soya milk in a food blender, or in a NutriBullet, and blend all the ingredients together. If you want to decorate your smoothie, you can do so with berries or granola to make it look a little more fun.
Enjoy your Very Berry smoothie!
