Banana, Peach, and Manuka Honey Smoothie

Like berries, peaches are not only the perfect summer fruit, but they also have some amazing health benefits too. It contributes to your daily vitamin A needs and daily vitamin C needs. When eaten in its natural form or applied topically, the antioxidants from vitamin C improve overall skin texture and help to fight skin damage caused by the sun.

According to a study from Texas A&M, stone fruit such as peaches, plums and nectarines have been shown to ward off diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular disease.

In general, fruit and vegetables have amazing health benefits which you may or may not know about.

Peaches are not the only fruit that decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease, bananas also reduce the risk of heart disease. Bananas also help to improve blood sugar, lipids and insulin levels, so it is also good for those with diabetes.

Bananas contain an amino acid that studies have suggested plays a role in preserving memory and boosting mood.

Anyway, that’s enough of the science lesson, here is the recipe for my smoothies.


For this you will need; 1 banana, 1 peach, and 1 table spoon of Manuka honey. You don’t have to add the Manuka honey if you don’t want to.

Place the fruit which you have cut up into pieces into a NutriBullet or a food processor. Add one table spoon of Manuka honey or any natural honey if you would like. Add half of the unsweetened soya milk in your NutriBullet, and once properly closed, blend all the ingredients together.
